Paraclete

Paraclete  is a software system developed by Interop Solutions that enables local, regional, & state emergency responders to communicate using different radio systems in the event of a local emergency. Parclete utilizes Internet Protocol (IP) and a IP based switch to control frequencies, telephone and/or radio operations from any computer with connectivity. This system gives emergency operation centers, police, fire fighters and emergency medical system staff in different jurisdictions the ability to communicate with one another using their own communication systems. Paraclete also contains a sophisticated data base that can be customized by local officials to track the availability of resources needed in an emergency.

The Nebraska Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) is conducting Paraclete training across the state for dispatchers, first responders, and emergency managers. For more information on Paraclete training please contact Alisia LaMay at Alisia.lamay@nebraska.gov or Dave Reisen at dave.reisen@nebraska.gov.
